When an opponent comes forward, move in and greet him; if he wants to pull back, send him on his way.
Ueshiba Morihei (O’ Sensei)
Aikido was founded by Morihei Ueshiba early in the 20th century after his long and various studies of old ways of Japanese martial arts. Aikido Katoh Dojo was established in 2020 and under Aikikai Foundation, founded by Morihei Ueshiba, and the way is following Aikikai Hombu Dojo way mainly and some parts of it is from Aikido Tada-jyuku and NewYork Aikikai since Katoh has studied at them. Unique point of Aikido is that there is no competition, just training for your mind and body. He thinks Aikido is the path of self-development and its core philosophy is overcoming opponents without physical harm by his or her own movements. It represents “the way of harmony”.
