We were given the opportunity to perform as Katoh Dojo at the 40th Kawasaki City Aikido Demonstration, held on Sunday, October 25.

Since we joined the Kawasaki City Aikido Federation this July, this was the first demonstration we have taken part in as a member dojo. Last year we performed as invited guests, so it was a real pleasure to step onto the mat this time under the dojo’s own name as part of the federation.

The demonstration was followed by the Kawasaki City Aikido Federation’s 40th anniversary seminar. Kanazawa Shihan of Aikikai Hombu Dojo came to teach, and we trained together with members of dojos from across the city.

Our thanks go to everyone at the Kawasaki City Aikido Federation for running the demonstration and the seminar, and to the dojo members who took part. We look forward to joining the federation’s future events and seminars and helping aikido in Kawasaki grow together.
